Trilogy Xmas Presentation

Trilogy held an informal, and our inaugural Xmas Presentation Dinner in the Birkhill Inn on Saturday evening.

An informal fun event, we took the opportunity to look back and celebrate what we have achieved in our first full year since formation.

Now with 36 fully active members , who could have imagined everything we have achieved:

•We Ran three Inaugural and very successful events including Summer Cross and an off road Hill Climb.

•We Supported 64 Club “off road” rides throughout the year, many of which explored Trails and Gravel roads across the length and breadth of Scotland.

We Supported 30 “on road” club rides, not bad for an off road orientated club and we had members racing in 8 MTB / Cross Country races, 10 Cyclocross Races, 20+ Time Trial events, 2 Road Sportives, and 8 gravel endurance / championship events at National & Local Level.

For a small club our medal haul would dwarf clubs with double the membership , podiums included 10 first places, 10 second places and 6 third places at major events. We have Scottish XC MTB Series overall podium places in three age disciplines, and we are sitting pretty strongly in the Scottish Cyclocross series too. We even have the Scottish Vet 50 female Gravel Champion 2024 in our midst.

Everyone on the night was recognised for their own unique contribution to our wee club with big ideas, some fun prizes were dished out in recognition of everyone's efforts, before singling out a few for special attention:

Chris MacDonald was recognised as most improved rider 2024, and anyone who knows Chris will find his journey an inspiration.

Laura Marshall was recognised as our rider of the year, for planning and leading many of our off road rides (and also for baking the cakes consumed after our midweek Tentsmuir rides!).

Paul Cooper was nominated "Good Shepherd" for the support he consistently has given on all our rides throughout the year, making sure everyone is looked after

Nadine Reilly was awarded club person of the year for the massive amount of work, energy and enthusiasm she invests in the club on a daily basis.

Here's to continued success and fun bike rides in 2025
